Immensely sad news ahead. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has passed away at the age of 55 due to a bile duct growth. The fourth President of Nintendo boasts a legacy with the company spanning decades, he will be missed.

A 23 year-old German man has been found guilty of drugging his girlfriend so that he could play more video games with a friend. No joke. It’s pretty safe to say that this woman is now an official member of the league of this gentleman’s ex-girlfriends.

Pre-order Announcements

The $110 Just Cause 3 Collector’s Edition is now available to preorder. The set includes the Day 1 Edition of the game, a Grapple Hook Replica, an artbook, and a map poster.

The long anticipated second installment of the Mirror’s Edge series, Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst Collector’s Edition is available for preorder at GameStop for $200. The pricy special edition includes a statue of Faith, steel book, lithograph, concept art, temporary tattoos, and a storage box. Sounds a bit overpriced to me.

Destiny will soon have not one, but two special PlayStation 4 consoles to call its own – this time for the upcoming expansion The Taken King. Sony’s second limited edition Destiny PS4 Bundle will be available on September 15th, 2015 and will include a spiffy 500 GB console with matching controller, a physical copy of The Taken King Legendary Edition, and the base game with its first two expansions.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s Collector’s Edition was not only announced, it was completely sold out in a matter of minutes. Considering the $200 Juggernog Edition includes a fully-functional mini-fridge, it’s no wonder people threw money at their computer screens all at once.
